Tumble Tube is a 3D sledding game where you ride an inner tube down a huge, wide-open mountain. Steer around trees and rocks, launch off ramps and carve a long trail through fresh snow. When your speed runs out, spend your coins on upgrades and push off again to reach further. It runs in your browser on phones, tablets and computers, with nothing to download.
A mountain you paint as you ride
Most sledding games give you a narrow lane and ask you to survive it. Tumble Tube goes the other way. The whole mountainside is open, and your tube leaves a bright trail wherever it goes. That trail is more than decoration: each area of the mountain has a coverage meter, and the more of the slope you paint, the bigger your bonus. It turns every run into a small drawing, and it gives you a reason to take the long way round.
The ride itself is simple. You start at the top, gravity does the work and you steer. Ramps throw you into the air, obstacles slow you down, and coins are scattered across the snow. When your speed finally runs out, the run is over and it is time to shop. Better tubes, wax, boost and glide each make the next run go a little further, which is how you reach new parts of the mountain.
You ride as Pip, a round capybara in a striped beanie who happens to be our site mascot too. Keep playing and you can unlock a penguin, a red panda and a moose calf. The mountain changes as you go, from a classic snowy peak to a frosting glacier, a waffle canyon, a cocoa river and finally a giant gingerbread half-pipe, and each new area you reach is added to your postcard collection.
How to play Tumble Tube
- Press Play and push off from the top of the slope. Your tube picks up speed on its own as the hill steepens.
- Steer left and right to line up ramps, collect coins and stay clear of anything that would slow you down.
- Watch the coverage meter. Every stretch of untouched snow you carve adds paint to the mountain, and a well-covered slope pays a bonus.
- When your tube finally stops, the run ends. You keep every coin you picked up.
- Spend coins on the four upgrades (tube, wax, boost and glide), then start a new run and try to beat your distance.

Tips and strategy
Carve wide, not straight
A straight line down the middle feels fast, but it paints very little of the slope. Gentle S-shaped turns cover much more fresh snow for a small loss of speed, and the coverage bonus usually makes up the difference. Save the hard, straight tucks for the moments you need to reach a ramp.
Spend on wax early
Early runs end because you slow down, not because you crash. Upgrades that keep your speed up help every single run, so they are a safe first purchase. Our blog has a full guide to upgrade order if you want the reasoning.
Use ramps as shortcuts
Time in the air is time with no friction. Lining up a ramp is often worth a small detour, especially once glide is upgraded and you can stretch each jump a little further.
Look two obstacles ahead
The slope is wide, so there is almost always an open lane. Pick your line early and make small steering corrections rather than one late swerve, which scrubs off speed.
Treat the daily mountain as a practice run
Today's mountain is the same for every player, so it is a fair test of your line choice. Play it a few times, learn where the ramps are and compare your distance card with friends.

Frequently asked questions
Is Tumble Tube free to play?
Yes. It is free in your browser with no download and no account. Your progress saves on your device automatically.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. It is designed for phones held upright first, and it also plays well on a tablet or computer. On a phone you steer by dragging your finger.
How many runs can I take?
As many as you like. There are no tickets or energy that run out, so you can always go again straight away.
What does the coverage meter do?
It shows how much of the current area your trail has painted. Carving across fresh snow fills it, and covering more of the slope earns a bonus at the end of the run.
What is today's mountain?
A daily run on the same mountain for every player. Finish it to get a distance card you can share, then come back tomorrow for a new slope.
Will I lose my progress if I close the tab?
No. Coins, upgrades and unlocked riders save on your device. Clearing your browser data will remove them, and optional sign-in to sync across devices is coming soon.
