Blaster Timeline is a 3D lane runner with a toy workshop twist. Steer through gates that grow or shrink your ammo, collect years to push your blaster forward through history, then unload everything at a wall of numbered jelly cubes and fruit crates. Every blaster is a toy and every hit ends in confetti. It is free and plays in your browser.
From slingshot to confetti laser
Blaster Timeline takes the classic gate runner and moves it into a toy workshop. You play alongside Kit, a young inventor in a hoodie and welding goggles, who is building the best toy blaster ever made. The catch is that it has to be invented one era at a time. Collect enough years on the track and Professor Tock, a clockwork robot with a very punctual attitude, opens the door to the next era.
That journey runs through six blasters: a slingshot, a cork popper, a water pistol, a foam blaster, a bubble cannon and, at the very top, a confetti laser. Each one has its own look, so it is easy to see how far you have come.
The targets are just as playful. Instead of anything that could get hurt, you fire at wobbly jelly cubes and fruit crates. Each has a number showing how many hits it can take, and when it reaches zero it bursts into a cloud of confetti. Every tenth level ends in a boss vault: a bigger, tougher wall that tests the upgrades you have bought so far.
Between levels, the coins you earned go into three upgrades that stay with you: fire rate, range and starting year. Choosing between them is where most of the strategy lives.
How to play Blaster Timeline
- Press Play. Your runner moves forward on its own, so you only need to steer.
- Slide left or right to choose which gates to pass through. Green gates such as plus width, plus length or times two grow your ammo stack; red ones such as minus 50 shrink it.
- Collect years along the track. Enough years move your blaster into the next era, from slingshot to cork popper and beyond.
- At the end of the track your blaster fires automatically at the numbered blocks. Each hit lowers a block's number until it bursts.
- Whatever is left over becomes coins. Spend them on permanent upgrades, then take on the next level.

Tips and strategy
Read the whole gate pair before you commit
Gates often come in pairs, and the better choice is not always the bigger number. A times two gate is worth far more late in a level, when your stack is already large, than at the very start. Early on, a plus gate that adds a fixed amount can beat a multiplier.
Width and length do different jobs
More width spreads your shots across more blocks at once, while more length keeps you firing for longer. A wall of many small blocks rewards width; a single big block rewards length. As soon as you can see the wall ahead, steer for the gates that suit it.
Avoid the minus gates even when the plus is out of the way
Swinging across the track to reach a good gate is fine, but crossing through a minus gate on the way can wipe out the gain. Steer in smooth arcs and check what sits between you and your target.
Buy starting year before a boss vault
Every tenth level is a boss vault with a much tougher wall. A higher starting year means you begin that level with a stronger blaster, which is often the difference between a clean clear and a near miss.
Balance fire rate and range
Fire rate empties your stack into the wall faster, and range lets you reach the back rows. Upgrading one far past the other tends to leave coins on the table.

Frequently asked questions
Is Blaster Timeline free?
Yes. It is free to play in your browser, with no download and no account needed.
Is it suitable for younger players?
The whole game uses toy blasters, jelly cubes and confetti, with no realistic weapons and no blood. Our site is aimed at a general audience of 13 and over, so we suggest a parent takes a look first for younger children.
How many levels are there?
There are 60 hand-tuned levels. After those, new levels are generated so you can keep playing.
What happens at the end of a level?
Your blaster fires automatically at a wall of numbered blocks. Each hit lowers a block's number. Whatever ammo is left when the wall is cleared turns into coins.
What are the eras?
Your blaster evolves as you collect years, moving through six toy stages from a slingshot to a confetti laser. Professor Tock welcomes you to each new one.
